TAIWAN TRIP ! 7 MAY 2011 ~ DAY 5 ! TAIPEI !


As usual, we woke up at about 9am to 10am~ We slacked our morning, prepared ourselves to go for HOT SPRING!! =D

Too bad, Chin didn't manage to go because her monthly period decided to visit her on that day.. =( How i wish she could join us but oh well, we can't control nature calls ya?

So laopo and I headed out to Xinbeitou~ From Ximen station change to Red Line, and go all the way up to Beitou and change train to XinBeiTou~

There are 4 types of themes in the train, so cute!! =) But one thing for sure was, the train was moving FREAKING SLOW! =.= I wonder why..



Reached XinBeiTou and went looking for FOOD! HUNGRY! Breakfast before we go for dip~~ =)

And yes, we have no idea what to eat, so we ate MAC! Had our Brunch and headed out to Xinbeitou~ Unexpectedly, we didn't lost our day~~ Because its kinda easy to find it as there was a map at the station to guide you, so it wasn't that difficult to find our way out at all~~ =)

Walked our way to the hot spring place BUT they said that we can only go back at 1.30pm.. so we still have like 1 hour to waste on, so we decided to walk all the way in to take a look at the Thermal Valley~

The weather starting to get hot on that day onwards, so when we headed in and found Thermal Valley, it was soo hot!! >.<


Beautiful eh? =) Loved it~ hehe! The whole street felt like JAPAN~ And I am totally loving it!









Finally it was 1.30pm, seriously, the person only let you in once it STRUCK 1.30pm on time! =.= Bought the tickets before going in~ 

Its about 2 bucks in SGD.. No pictures are supposed to be taken inside, but ya know me.. I GOTTA TAKE A PICTURE !! =X

So i taught laopo how to, i would cover her and pretend that i was on the phone, waiting.. And wait for our chance to snap it!~

The tickets~

I would say the experience was good~ It was really good dipping ourselves in a hot spring outdoor~  And when a fat girl like me wore a bikini, i would expect weird looks from people or something.. But NO! Thank god! No one looked at all~~ heh~

We only managed to dip ourselves in the lowest temperature hot spring which was 35 to 38 degrees, higher than that, i would become roast pig i suppose.. =X And i dont dare to.. After 15 minutes of dipping ourselves, we went to the COLD spring! 

Let me tell you, ITS SO COLD!!!! DAMNNN... All i did was, dip my lower body in, but above my stomach, i couldnt do it!! SO COLD! =.=

So after a while, we were done and clean ourselves, we smelled like sulphur! Strong smell! smelly! Yes, i know, we only had 30 minutes of it, but it was enough because you are not suppose to dip yourself in the hot spring for too long if not, you will faint..

Dried ourselves and wanted to head to Wufenpu to meet Wan Chin, BUT Laopo saw this Hot Spring Museum and said that she wants to visit~ So we did! I am glad we did! The buildings was so beautiful! =)

Almost all their Fast food outlets have 3 storeys high.. IMAGINE we had to climb every time first floor is full! =.=

So we headed to Wufenpu, took us like 35 to 40 minutes to reach there~ Met up with Chin~ 

As you can see, we were starting to adapt the environment and knows our way, taking the MRT and such~ Not the bus though, we only took the bus one time..

So we found our way in to Wufenpu~

People, if you want to go to Wufenpu, give yourself 5 hours and above to shop, because its about 5 times bigger than Singapore's BUGIS STREET!

The street will have Bikes and even LORRY vehicle in the streets anytime.. So be careful~




Our dinner~ I don't really like the one that i had, tasted weird.. Its not costy anyways, so its okay~

And yes, my dear laopo and wan chin bought LOTS of stuff!! My bag was soooooo heavy because of the wet clothes and towels..

Plus, i helped laopo to carry her stuff because it was so heavy that her hand was hurting.. So i offered my help, i didnt manage to buy any clothes on that day, because i was too tired to choose, oh.. I only did manage buy clothes for Sis and Mum, some necklaces only~

We shopped till about 10pm, and we went back to our minsu~

Was so hungry, didn't know what to eat, met up with Maggie one last time because she wanted to meet me, passed me some gifts and left~ Thanks Maggie so much for the gift~~

Bought dinner~ Only managed to buy Oyster Omelette with Cup noodles~ YUMMS!! =)

Watched TV show with Laopo till late night, we laughed our ass off talking craps and such~ keke~ Fun times!

TAIWAN TRIP ! 6 MAY 2011 ~ DAY 4 ! TAIPEI !

Woke up slightly later than usual because i guess we were really tired to wake up every morning so early~~ Went out at about 10.30 am to look for breakfast, but it seems that the shops don't open till 11.30am to 12pm..

Told them that i was looking for the famous "Ah Zhong Mian Xian" , heard it was nearby and i would love to give it a try.. While I was mentioning about it, we saw it about 5 minutes later!



This is the shop of it, usually its always full with people, so full that some of them had to eat while standing up~

We were lucky that when we bought it, it was just a few people and i don't have to Queue up at all! After eating nearly half a bowl of it, people started to come~



It was kinda windy/cold on that morning, so its really good to eat something hot and warm your stomach~ =)

Totally enjoying it!

The mee sua that they were using was slightly thicker and its really yummy! =) Must try!

We didn't know that they actually put in pigs' intestines.. Laopo actually bought one and ate it liek 1/4 of it.. When we realized it, she threw it away.. I felt bad though.. Didn't check with them earlier... So we headed to KFC since she needs to get her breakfast~




We headed back to our minsu to rest awhile before heading out to other places and we actually do not have any idea of going where, and yes.. My itinerary changed at the very last minute because we don't feel like going to the Leofoo village for the theme park.. So we changed our plans, without knowing where to go..

So Norman found us in the room, trying to chase us out of the room.. Asking us to go out and enjoy ourselves rather than staying in the room..  So he actually suggested of where to go~

We went to Zhong Xiao Fu Xing "忠孝复兴" and Zhong Xiao Dun Hua "忠孝敦化" for shopping.. Well, Norman suggested it so i was thinking, why not? And I wanted to visit the Hello Kitty Cafe that people had been saying~

Guess what? We lost our way! hahaha!!

Basically we found out that the shops there are rather expensive, just like Orchard road? With all those branded shops.. Yep.. Just like that~ So we headed down to look for the Hello Kitty Cafe @ Zhong Xiao Fu Xing, its actually about 10 minutes walk from the station..

Actually i forgot how we got there.. Because it was sooooo complicated! Sorry guys, if you wanna visit that place, well, you might as well check before you fly to Taiwan~



After much time was wasted by just looking for the place.. We finally found it!! =D

Thanks to Wan Chin~~ =X Well, my sense of direction wasn't so good, so that kinda explains why we were lost.. >.<

The concept of this cafe is really cute~ I am not a fan of hello kitty but i've got to admit that this cafe looks really good and cute~ We can't wait to taste their food~ But there was a long Queue waiting for their turn as well~ We were next~ So we wait patiently~

Yes, Almost everything is design with Hello Kitty~ I love the seats though~ keke~

Ordered our food and starts eating~ It's actually quite affordable~ I don't find it expensive though~

Introduction of the food~~

Seriously, this is good! One thing which is really good about the food was, they gave LOTS of fillings! 

We ordered Chicken mushroom for the filling, and this bread was STUFFED with chicken and mushroom!! YUMMS!! =)

Japanese Chicken Curry Baked Rice, still okay, not as nice as i expected it to me, well, just normal i guess~




Almost all the food was with Hello Kitty's design on it~ Even drinks too!







Desserts~~


Well, i gotta say, not as good as it seems to be, so don't get too high hopes on it.. Its taste Ok but not great.. Esp for the Tiramisu, the taste of the alcohol was too strong, that i don't really taste the aroma of the coffee.. Well, you still can give it a try though~


We spent about 20 bucks (SGD) per person in this cafe, we ordered quite a lot.. So i guess its still okay~

Once we finished our meal, we headed down to Taipei 101, we gotta MRT down from Zhong Xiao Fu Xing to Taipei City Hall station, find exit 2, and you can take a shuttle service to Taipei 101, we were lucky enough to get the shuttle bus once we reached exit 2, actually the map said that exit 3 have shuttle service as well, but we just saw shuttle service right in front from exit 2~

Boarded the bus, and one more thing we worried about, how do we alight??

I was discussing this with laopo and the person who were sitting just in front of us, guided us~ We were standing up due to lack of seats and we were looking here and there. So its obvious that we were tourists~~ haha!! So thankful that he helped us~~ =)



This is how it looks like inside of the Taipei 101 Mall~~



We bought our tickets~ Its about 17 bucks (SGD) to get up to 89th floor to view~~ They said that the highest floor was closed due to the weather and such, will only starts opening during July.. Well, i don't quite believe it though~ =X

Took us 37 Secs to go up from 5th floor to 89th! Fast isnt it? And you can totally feel the air going into your ear.. =.= It Hurts!

When we were there, it was still bright, so we decided to walk around and wait till its dark~ Wanna enjoy the night view! =) That's our main purposes of going to Taipei 101 ~

This is our electronic "Tour Guide" , hahahha~~ I am surprised that i actually listened to this and get to know more about Taipei 101, actually i just wanna enjoy the night view and thats it, but it curiosity hits me~




This is the "Ball" that balances the whole building~ I heard it from Laopo actually~ After this trip, i realized that Laopo loves Geographic, Science and History! Seriously! I seem so stupid in front of her! 

GEEZ! HAHAHA! I learn a lot from her actually~ =)









HAHAHA!! Lots of fun times and picture time with the Damper Baby, that's what its called!

Finally! The night time was here~~



GORGEOUS isnt it? It was such a breath taking view!! LOVE IT! =)

After hanging around for awhile, we decided to go~

Took a cab back because we don't want to find our back to take a bus and train.. So we decided to take cab back to Ximending~

Didn't really get to shop much at Ximending~ Chin went back to the minsu, she said, she wanted to buy some Comics and go back to rest~

Walked around and i was hungry!




I didnt manage to take a picture of what i bought earlier before this, i bought “大肠包小肠” , its like a big sausage made up with glutinous rice wrapped with small pork sausages in it~ Its really YUMMY!!! 

And this, i was buying “盐水鸡” Its like a varieties of cold dishes but cooked, mixed with pepper, and other flavorings which i have no idea what~ Its nice! =)


Laopo bought crepes~

HAHAHA!! I wanted to try this BUT people were basically Queueing for it! hahaha! Its actually a Cock shaped pancake or something like that~ LOL!!

After buying food back to minsu for dinner, we hit the sack and got ready for the next day~ Hot spring the next day! =)
