CAFE HUNTING 4 !!

Decided to visit 18 Chefs which is located at Cineleisure! 

18 Chefs! 

I really like the design of this place~ And its almost like self service except when they have to serve the food to us, other than that, we have to pick up our own utensils, napkins, sauces and water.. But its not a hassle to me I think. 

We also have to walk to the cashier counter to pay for our food~ 

Me and sis decided to have their double cheese baked rice!

The cheesy baked rice! Surprisingly I finished everything! Except for sis, she thought it was too cheesy because with the cheese fries as well? lol~  

Vincent's order! I forgot whats this called BUT I gotta say, I WILL go back to 18 chefs mainly just for this ! 

The rice was so nicely cooked with the soya sauce fragrance and abit of spring onions helped to enhance the smell~ 

Not to mention, the beef at the right.. oh gosh! nicely cooked! I assumed that its done in medium rare, the texture was just nice and the taste.. Everything is good about this! =) 

And for dessert! WAFFLES WITH ICE CREAM!! Yumms! I love this too!! Soft and crispy waffles with ice cream and add a lil of chocolate sauce~  

I am seriously craving for this now! T.T

Yes, I have been there for their desserts and tea but this time, we went for their FOOD! =) 

Fish & Chips! I gotta say, its kinda good~ The thick and hot fries! Yumms! The fish was good too! I think the fish was well marinated~

Half roasted OR grill chicken.. I can't remember.. But anyways, it was still okay~ A bit salty when you have the first bite, but the meat and fries goes along with it pretty well~  

I guess its a brunch set.. It wasn't bad I suppose~ 

Mine~ I am not quite sure if I remember all the ingredients inside, but I will try to list out as many as possible.

There's Bacon, beef steak, spinach, poached eggs (which is absoulutely TASTELESS! YUCKS much!) , pancakes which is served savory instead of sweet.. oh yes, and chicken meat..

Overall it was okay BUT I really hate the eggs, the FIRST TIME in my life tasted such eggs!! Not even yolk taste! 

Tasted so rubbery and eeyew.. I seriously hate the eggs.. Pancakes was okay I guess, but I dont like how its savory.. Made it too soggy.. So didn't really impress me, but it was still ok.. 

Pancakes with eggs, another brunch meal.. I suppose it was quite okay, at least the eggs tasted fine.. 

Gotta love the coaster! =D 

Recently heard of this cafe which is quite popular, people has been talking about it, so we decided to check it out, we were choosing between Hatched or Carpenters' & Cook.. So we went ahead with this, shall try Carpenters' & Cook next time..

Hatched ! 

It's located at Holland Village, we actually walked one round to find out that its just a few shops away from the exit of the MRT station.. T.T

The interior looked so pretty!! I mean its really cute and cozy~ It kinda looked like a hen house to me~ With all those lights hanging to the ceiling! 

We were starving so we ordered our food~ 

Of course, all of their food in the menu gotta do something with eggs! (Obvious isn't it?) 

Each of us tried their popular dish! 

Mine! Cowboy's Burger! 

English muffin as the burger bun, fried egg, STEAK (not beef burger patty we usually have in our burgers..)with cheese , Onions sauteed with mushrooms, at the side would some fresh salad and thick fries! I LOVE the fries~ 

As for the steak, I asked for medium rare but it looked like raw to me.. 

Well, it looked REALLY RAW.. But the texture and taste of it was quite okay, and this keeps me wondering if they are using FRESH MEAT.. Because when it looked so raw.. The color of the meat doesn't look fresh to me.. 

So.. yeah.. But overall the taste was quite good.. I didnt get any stomach upset or whatsoever, so I guess its okay? 

Vincent's order, I think its called Shepard's pot pie? I know its something something pot pie.. LOL! Forgive me.. I am not good at remembering names.. 

This was quite okay.. Tasted normal to me, nothing special really..

Sis' order, I think its called Salmon Royale? =X 

I liked this!! English muffin, smoked salmon, poached eggs, mashed potatoes and salad at the side~ 

I think the mashed potatoes was amazing! It tasted like mushroom soup!! Yumms! And the whole egg benedict just goes really well together!!

Hifumi Japanese Restaurant ! 

This restaurant is located at Marina Square, Vincent happened to see this restaurant and we find it really affordable, if anyone ordered one set meal is entitled to have free flow of appetizers bar ! 

Which they have, Chawanmushi,Gyozas, Soba, salad etc...

Mine! I was kinda bloated at that time, so I ate something light and simple, plus with the appetizer bar.. woo.. I was STUFFED! 

The food was okay I guess, I would go back again because the food was quite okay and its really affordable, with 20 bucks, you can eat like you were having buffet or something! 

Hopefully they are consistent enough with this kind of promotion, service and quality of food! =)

KRABI MAY 2013 ! 

Went Krabi during May with Vivian and Wan Chin~ Decided to go Krabi because I wanted to clear my leave at that time and wanted to travel somewhere near with Beach! 

We decided to take Tiger Airline because they were having promotions at that time, the ticket costs like less than 150 bucks so we went ahead! 

Picked up Vivian at her place and went to the airport while we waited for Wan Chin to meet up with us~ 

DAY 1 ! 

Hearty breakfast before we leave~ 

Ready to leave!! 

Once we arrived Krabi, the hotel staff picked us up and on our way, the staff told us that it will rain and its gonna be heavy rain! But I was like, really? It looks really hot! It's kinda impossible to rain at that time.. 
I WAS WRONG! 

The hotel lobby! Waited for like half an hour before we checked in.. 

The room was quite okay~! Not that space constrain~ It was just nice for 3 people, my mum was suppose to tag along with us BUT she was hospitalized at that time so she couldnt make it. Wondered whats are we going to do if this room occupies 4 people.. =.=

The toilet was really clean too! 

We thought we can drink the water after we boiled it BUT we still can't drink it.. Because its still SALTY!! YUCKS! No wonder the hotel sold big bottles of mineral water at their lobby area.. 

Yay! BALCONY! 

After we settled in, we decided to walk outside of the hotel and finding restaurants to dine in~ 

In the end, we found a open space "restaurant" which is just next to a smelly area.. From outside we cant really see, till we went in.. But we didnt care because we were starving, I know I WAS! =X

Time to dig in! 

We had a great meal, and during our meal, it started RAINING HEAVILY!!! So heavy that we had to wait till the rain got smaller.. 

While it was drizzling, we decided to head back to hotel.. 

In the end, we had to stay in the hotel for the rest of the day.. Because it was raining the whole day.. So no activities during that day.. 

During dinner time, we had to eat in the hotel's restaurant~  

I had Mocha while Viv and Chin got Lime ice blended? I dont remember what they had.. All I remembered was the mocha sucks like HELL!!! T.T

After dinner, we headed back to our room~ 

Vivian and I decided to go for night swim despite it was still drizzling.. haha~ We thought the water was gonna be freezing cold in the end it was WARM! Wth?! LOL! So we had fun swimming~ 

DAY 2 ! 

Woke up and had our buffet breakfast in the hotel~ Gotta love the milk! =X Just the milk.. hahaha! It goes well with the cereals ! hahaha! 

We waited for the tour people to come pick us up at the hotel, at first we were like confused because there were too many tour people came and picked up different customers.. T.T 

And they were calling our room's number and we had no idea, till we figured out that they were actually calling for us.. 

Boarded the van and went to the beach.. We waited for like 30 to 40 minutes till we can board the speedboat.. We were having Phi Phi Island day tour!! =D 

The only island that I remembered during the entire tour was Bamboo island.. 

The beach and the sea ARE AWESOME!! Never in my life see such clear water and clean beach! I was so excited ! We even saw small fishes while swimming in the sea!! 

We even snorkel at this area~ I really hate going back up to the boat after snorkeling.. T.T 
The boat was shaking, my body was heavy (with the water, its even heavier) , and no one really can help me back up because I was too heavy I guess.. So it was really embarrassing.. 

We came to this island and had lunch before setting off to another island~ The food was okay I guess.. 

Was kinda too tired.. I got no cap with me because it flew away.. T.T , that was my favorite cap that I bought from Taiwan. And it just flew away... Been moping for days because of that..

Back to Krabi! 

They were alive !!! Vivian still picked them up and brought it back to the hotel.. 

On our way back to the hotel, we saw some vendors outside selling food, we were hungry and it was near dinner time, so we decided to get some food! 

I have no idea what topic they were having.. But the vendors were really friendly~ 

I SUPER LOVED The food!!! 

The corn was really sweet and crunchy! The chocolate and banana pancake was really good too! The mango salad was sweet and spicy! Oh it was soo spicy that I am craving for it now! We even had BBQ Chicken breast which Viv bought ( I think ) , it was really good too! 

The FOOD was basically AWESOME! =D

I don't remember what we did at night, I think we just stayed in the hotel and spend the night just like that.. Watching movies on TV.. 

DAY 3 ! 

Had breakfast in the hotel and went out to their ONLY Shopping Mall in Krabi~ Walked out and took a taxi~ The taxi was so cute! 

Yes, I WAS BURNT.. I was ow-ing and ohh-ing for about the next 3 to 4 days.. 

Basically their shopping mall looks like BHG.. The whole building just looked like BHG, nothing much to walk about.. But we found this cafe and decided to checked it out! FREE WI-FI too! The entire we were looking for FREE Wi-fi! LOL! 

Gotta love the Ice Tea but not the cakes.. 

Gotta also love the Green Curry & Tom Yum soup! (yeap, like AGAIN, we were like testing out different green curry and tom yum soup! LOL! ) 

I just find the traffic lights very interesting.. haha.. 

The only thing we bought at the shopping mall! SO CUTE !! 

Sunset at a restaurant near our hotel, basically it was VERY Popular, was so crowded during dinner time! And when everyone saw this view, people were crowding to take a picture of it~ I am glad I was one of them~ So beautiful!

The food was still not bad, I specially loved the crab, because it was fresh and sweet. But too bad that we had to get Flower crabs instead of other big crabs because they ran out of it.. Oh well.. But it still tasted good though~ So no complains! 

After dinner, we decided to take a taxi to their night market~ 

I should have taken photos of the night market.. But I was too busy looking around and a bit too lazy to do it.. haha.. 

But it was fun shopping there~ Because after shopping at the night market we headed back to the hotel and viv and I realized that we wanted to get some other bags for ourselves, so we went back while Chin waited in the hotel..

The moment we reached there, it started raining heavily SUDDENLY!!! We used less than 5 minutes to buy our stuff and head back to hotel ! LOL!!! Its like, we alight, we saw what we wanted, we bargained, we bought and we waved at the taxi and hopped on.. 

While on our way, there was a blackout, even the driver was shocked.. LOL! Omg, so fun and exciting ! 

Chin was telling us how panic she was when the whole hotel blacked out for like 1 second.. hahaha! 

But we were okay~ We got the things we wanted~ Had a great night sleeping! 

Oh yes! My pants even fell off from the balcony and went down to the pool.. Thanks to Vivian for helping me to get it back.. =)  So happening.. I didnt even know how it got down there.. 

DAY 4 was nothing, we just headed to the airport after breakfast ~ 

It was a fun trip~ I would wanna go back again but its because of the food! LOL! I miss the food BADLY!
